Manuscript pages

Introduction

This page lists the wiki links to all of the pages of the Oera Linda book. On each page, there is a high quality scan of the original manuscript page, on which a page identifier and line numbers have been added. Alongside it is a transcript. Below it are the transcript corrections, translations of the page and quick links for navigating to the previous and next pages.

Page and line numbers

Page numbers are identified by three digits, line numbers by two digits. For example, the page 6 is identified as [006], the line 12 as [12]. To refer to a line on a specific page, you write the page number followed by the line number in this fashion: [006/12] — page 6, line 12

Line numbers from the manuscript are written in their corresponding places in the transcript; for example, if line 10 on the manuscript begins with FÀSTA DÉDE ALSA HJA BODEN WÀRTH, the identifier [10] is placed in the transcript at the beginning of that sentence.

Sometimes, the transcript is split up into a new section. On page 6, there is the section [006/12] THAT IS VSA FORMA SKÉDNESE. This is because the translation is divided into the chapter 02a, because the text itself has begun a new topic or theme.

Corrections

The edits of the transcript are divided into copyist corrections and transcriber corrections. If a letter is written sloppily or a word is missing some letters, the editors have reconstructed the missing parts under copyist corrections. If a word is written inconsistently or an obvious typo or grammatical mistake is made, the editors have corrected these inconsistencies and mistakes under transcriber corrections. This is an ongoing effort.

Translations

The bottom of each page contains the translations of the page. On page 6, it is a table like this:

The first row means that the translation begins from the top of the page. The second row means that the translation begins from line 12 onwards.

Font picker

At the top of each wiki manuscript page is a font picker, which lets you choose between Standskrift, Wagumskrift and Latin. The Standskrift font imitates the letter style from the Oera Linda book, the Wagumskrift font is a reconstruction of what some or all inscriptions might have looked like and Latin is the default wiki font.
