In ''classical'' sources, Medea is portrayed as a sorceress or high-priestess (eventually married to Jason), which may suggest that these texts stem from former adversaries of the Fryas folk. In Euripides’ play about Medea, her gaze (<span class="fryas">[[BLIKA|BLIK]]</span>) plays an important role:<br />
